Minimal meets Comfort
Brilliantly white, bright and open, this space instantly uplifts your mood as you stroll through Suzanne and Andrew's home.
This stunning renovation truly has it all. From hidden appliances to sleek walls of handleless cabinetry, you may not see it - but all your kitchen creature comforts are right at your fingertips, just a smooth slide away.
The seemingly effortless finish is a delicate dance of WK Quantum Quartz Calacutta Oro stone benchtops and splashbacks, carefully connected - flowing from kitchen workspace up the walls to meet the overhead cabinetry.
Continuing on the warm marbled pattern, a wide elongated island bench acts as a statement piece in the space, with its striking waterfall end at one side and overhang on the other. Installed by The Porcelain Factory, the marble inspired vein matched series allows for a perfect continuous design, with minimal joins. The exact finish required in this uber modern kitchen.
From cabinetry to integrated appliances and storage solutions, there is not a handle in sight. Each and every portion of this kitchen has been carefully crafted to integrate angled fingerpulls, so its flawless finish remains intact.
Where did the inspiration come from? Well, Suzanne spent a number of years teaching students home economics, and so once she retired she decided it was time to build her dream kitchen - which included splurging on her choice of a Wolf Oven, Steam Oven and Cooktop. Considered as the best cooking products out there, they're loaded with intuitive controls and guarantee consistent temperatures to ensure every meal is predictably remarkable.
The modern tech doesn't stop there... Tucked just out of sight, but fully visible in the home-tour video, the fully integrated Miele Knock2Open technology dishwasher is one of a kind. Not wizardry, just Miele... The Knock2open does exactly what the name suggests - by tapping the front of the dishwasher twice, the door opens by about 10cm completely automatically, using a clever opening mechanism. A magical experience, it is the perfect solution for handleless kitchen design.
Making full use of the open plan space, cabinetry continues along the wall to create a breakfast nook by the patio doors. Cleverly concealed with bi-fold doors, the dedicated appliance area creates ample storage space, neatly hidden away until needed.
It doesn't stop with the kitchen. As is so often the case with our home transformations, owners are looking for continuity throughout and so wizardry is required in a range of rooms. You'll notice Polytec Angora Oak Woodmatt handleless cabinetry featured in both the vanities and walk in robe, with a warm, washed, subtle woodgrain finish.
This choice of laminate for the wardrobe provides a step up in visual appeal compared to a traditional white melamine. Together with premium Blum soft closing drawers and a mix of open shelving and hanging rails, this walk in robe is both functional and luxurious.
The laundry room mirrors the neighbouring kitchen's modern style, emanating a bright, clean finish with not a handle in sight. Angled fingerpulls and Essastone Crystallite Gloss benchtops were used for both the laundry room and vanities to continue the theme and create a wonderful flow throughout their home.
Transformation: Before & After
Everyone loves a good transformation story, and even though our before shots are a little blurry... it is crystal clear that major change has taken place in this property. Flooded with natural light, the bright Classic White Semi-Gloss and Oyster cabinetry shines in all its elegance...
