A Winning Kitchen Transformation | Striking Gold (FM)
In Dingley Village, Monika, Dustin, and their sons Noah and Oliver, struck Gold (FM) when they won a competition on The Christian O'Connell Show for a dream kitchen transformation. Their existing space, compact and well loved, struggled to accommodate more than one person, making boisterous family gatherings and cooking less than ideal... This was their chance to revitalise the last unrenovated part of their home, and they seized it with both hands.
Together with E&S, we added the last crucial piece to this wonderful family home, right at its heart. A kitchen worthy of winners.
The redesign focused not just on aesthetics, but on improving (and enriching) the family’s day-to-day living. They knew the problems they wanted to solve and trusted our recommendations, so we could effectively pinpoint elements that would make their renovated kitchen fit like a (oven) glove.
The new open-plan layout seamlessly merged the kitchen with the living room, enhancing space, storage, and functionality. Light is beckoned in, elegantly reflecting off the TrendStone Crema Marmore splashback and handleless Polytec laminate cabinetry in Classic White. It’s airy, bright and irresistibly Modern.
Attention to detail was paramount. From the delicate blue-grey veining in the benchtops and splashback, to the VJ panels under the island (brought in from the living room), this deliberate design was all about creating cohesive flow. But it was equal parts practicality. The island, now a central hub, was built with functionality and ease of cleaning in mind, perfect for a family with curious - and often sticky - little hands…
Appliance selection was crucial too, and we had the perfect partner with E&S. They provided tailor-made solutions for every family member - like dual Smeg wall ovens positioned at the perfect height for Dustin, and an integrated Bosch fridge freezer with stacks of storage for Monika’s secret ingredients.
This collaborative project wasn't just about a kitchen renovation; it was about creating a heartwarming, welcoming and intentional space, where laughter is had and memories are made.
